Setting up your Turner Tag
When your tag arrives, simply scan the QR code with your phone and you'll be guided through our setup wizard to enter your pet and contact details.

If you've already setup your account, on your computer or phone open a web browser and go to https://turnertag.com/ and click login on the top nav bar.

Will my Turner Tag work overseas?
Heading out on vacation with your pet? No need to worry—you can still use your Turner tag wherever you are in the world. However, some features might not work exactly as they do in your home country. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect when using your Turner tag abroad.
Location Alerts:
As long as your phone is able to receive text messages (i.e., not in airplane mode) while you're traveling, you should still get the Location Alerts as usual.
Phone Connections:
Calls are securely routed through to the pet owner, but if someone tries to reach the owner via their Pet Profile while they're overseas, the call will not go through.That said, everything else, including the pet profile, notifications from vets and shelters, and access to the Turner Dashboard, will remain fully functional while you're abroad.

How do I scan a Turner Tag?
Each of our tags has a QR code that contains a unique identifier for your pet. Here's how to scan it. Before you begin make sure you are in Photo mode. Portrait, Panorama, Video and the others won't work.

2. Tap on the QR code on the screen to tell the camera to focus there and it will read the code:
If that doesn't work, check to ensure you have QR code reading enabled.

Do Turner Tags have GPS?
Instead of creating a collar with an expensive radio and GPS sensor, we relay on something that almost everyone has - a mobile phone. This keeps your Turner Tag simple and nearly indestructible.
You'll be able to see the location of your pet anytime someone scans the tag. It's not real time GPS tracking. However, we believe it is far better because you don't need to remember to charge or change batteries. Most people with mobile phone have some level of charge that enables them to scan a QR code and notify you. We think it's genius and we've helped reunite thousands of lost pets with their owners!

Simply login to your account and tap Account on the menu. You can enter your new email address. You'll be asked to confirm it once you save it.
